Mrs. Hutton's Quilt

David and Daniel both had Mrs. Hutton for fourth grade. They loved her dearly and she was hands down the most difficult teacher they had had up to that point. Somehow she always knew what they needed and nurtured them unconditionally. At the end of Daniel's year, I made her this quilt....just for being so wonderful.

Time was short and the quilt is machine pieced and quilted. This is only quilt I have machine quilted (unless I machine quilted Cathy's and I don't think I did, but I honestly cannot remember. ) This is obviously the same pattern at the lap quilt from my class.....only I did just the star block. The vivid colors and the butterflies are so Mrs. Hutton....she really was touched by this gift. Completed June 2006.
