I took a quilting class early in 2005...resulting in this lap quilt. I have to say that the most frustrating thing for me was picking out the colors. I just had no idea of what would look good together. I really think that is practice. I am still not great at it, but not quite as intimidated as I was before. The owner of the quilt shop helped me pick the fabrics in this quilt and I remember thinking the pink would be awful....but I like it! I machine pieced (the right way, haha) and handquilted it. I love handquilting. The edges aren't quite right-but I was (and still am) a beginner. This little quilt keeps Daniel compay when I am not home and has occasionally been a huge kleenex for me. Good thing it washes well. :-)
